š āLoud Hair, Loud Voice, Loud Lifeā
Iāve always believed every volleyball player, coach, and woman should be loud. Loud in their confidence. Loud in their presence. Loud in their truth. Not just on the court ā but in every room they walk into.
That belief sparked the beginning of my hair journey. Not for anyone else, but as a tribute to myself.
See, Iām a talkative, colorful, LGBTQ+ individual. And while those things donāt define my entire identity, theyāre threads in the beautiful tapestry of who I am. I wanted a way to express that ā outwardly, visibly, unapologetically. I wanted my hair to reflect what I stand for: vibrance, energy, authenticity, and a little bit of chaos (the good kind).
But I also wanted balance.
I wanted a style that could be both bold and professionalĀ ā something that lets me show up with electric colors one day and my natural, beautiful, long brown hair the next. Because being loud doesnāt mean being loud all the time. It means having the choiceĀ to express yourself however you want, whenever you want ā and still being completely you.
Thatās where I drew inspiration from someone I admire deeply: Jenna Seevers, a high-level cheerleader who shaves, dyes, and reinvents her hair weekly with creative, jaw-dropping looks. She reminds me that hair doesnāt have to stay the same. Neither do we. Expression can evolve, and it can be FUN.
So, I created a style that reflects that mindset ā a way to switch from subtle to statement without compromise. Whether Iām showing up as the version of me that rocks a pink under dye or sleek brown locks, Iām still fully Z. Every day.
This blog is posts of my hair, a visual of that journey. For the girls who speak up. For the coaches who lead with heart. For the players who arenāt afraid to take up space. For anyone who wants to be a little louder, a little prouder, and a little more themselves.
Letās get colorful. šØLetās get real. Letās be loud ā in every way that matters.

With love and lavender dye,
Z šāØ
